May 18, 2009 - On our way to Salt Lake the next day I got on line and found a phone number for a local clown, Flowers, Joan Ward. When I talked to her on the phone she said she and her husband Richard were going RVing at The Pony Express RV Park outside of the City. We had not made reservations yet so we decided to hook up with them. We were so glad we did. Turns out I knew Flowers from teaching at the WRCA convention. I said, feeling kind of insecure “My name is Rosemarie Ballard. Do you know me”? She was genuinely excited to hear from me. As soon as I saw her she was familiar to me. They got to the Park before us and set it up so we would be next to each other. Neighbor’s for a day!
May 19, 2009 - We all hit it off great. I made a spaghetti dinner and she cut up the salad stuff and made what she called Medallion cut chicken breast (delicious). We all took a 3 mile walk and then we played Spinner until it was so dark we had to use a flash light to see. We had a ball. We visited with them after breakfast and then hit the highway. We drove all the way to Bois, Idaho. We got there around 5:30 after driving 336 miles. We found a nice park, Garrity RV, about 16 miles NW of Boise.
We left for Salt Lake, but we did not make it all the way. We stopped in Nephi at High Country RV Park, the same RV Park we stopped at last year. It only cost us $12.50 and we got to see Survivor on the computer. We had full bars on Version. We went to play golf at Canyon Hills a 9 Hole course. This little town is at the base of the mountains. The scenery was spectacular and we had a great time - Bill 41 – Ro 53. We were at a high elevation and boy does the ball go far (YES)

The next day we headed out to enjoy the City but were really disappointed. The State Capitol was closed until 2010. They are completely retrofitting it back to how it looked when it was new. They are taking out all the lowered ceilings and cubicles and returning it to its original beauty. .
Not only was the Capitol closed, but so were all of the museums. We took a long walk around the city trying to find what they call "The Boise Train Ride. We decided to take the tour. The woman who owned and operated the tour was very nice, but there was not much to the tour. It only took 50 minutes opposed to the flyer that said it was 90 minutes long. She explained about the history and pointed out a lot of old homes. She told us who they were built for. These facts did not particularly impress us, although they might have been fascinating to some. We walked back toward our car and found a Blimpies sandwich shop and split a meatball foot long, then headed back to the park

Debra "ALFY" Schueler
I dropped Bill off and headed to visit another clown I found by searching the internet. Her Clown Name is Debra "ALFY" Schueler . She was wonderful to visit. She had moved to Nampa from the west coast. She said she loved it there, but had decided to retire her clown. She is so talented the clown community has lost a great entertainer. She is still doing balloon art and has a business doing just that. She is also a great seamstress.

May 19, 2009 - We enjoyed a fun day in Nampa. Dan, the guy who ran the RV Park recommended Ridgecrest golf course and we were so glad he did. We both loved our games there. The grass was awesome to hit off of. I am beginning to feel like a real golfer. Bill 80 - Ro 97. After golf we did some shopping and laundry. We got to watch Idol & Dancing with the Stars. All in all a great day!
May 20, 2009 - We got out of town around 8:30 and are heading for our visit to Bill's daughter Holly and her husband John and Andrew. We were welcomed with open arms and the visit just got better and better. This is the beautiful home:

May 28, 2009 - We are hold up at Champoeg State Park in Oregon. It is located between Portland & Salem. It is a lovely state park. We arrived here on Tuesday night. Rosemarie got a cold. We think Bill got it first and then Rosemarie. We did not kiss and tried to be careful but the germs won. We had an amazing time at Holly and John's home. They are the best hosts and Bill and I agree Holly is an amazing, awesome, fabulous cook. There is a special flavor to everything we ate there. They have a beautiful home full with warmth and love. It was nice to get reacquainted and we look forward to many wonderful moments with them in the future.
We played golf with John and his and his friend Dave on Thursday. Dave was so nice. It was a lot of fun! There was this elevated tee that was out of this world. It was really high. We did not have to pay for the golf. It was a private club and Dave took care of everything. We had to take our clubs down to the course in an elevator. That was a first. It was a challenging, interesting experience. Bill - 85 Ro- 97.
We really enjoed spending time with Andrew.

John and Holly arranged for Bill to play golf at Coeur d'Alene. He and Holly, Andrew and Raleigh stayed at he Coeur d'Alene Hotel and Bill and I drove the motor home and stayed at the Wolf Lodge about 8 miles away. Below is our dinner excursion at Coeur d'Alene. We decided to walk and it was a long one, but we had fun. Bill did not think he could drive 140 miles and then play 18 holes of golf, so we left the day before. We loved the camp grounds. Our neighbors there had a pit-bull and he was too friendly. He was scary!

Beautiful Course
This is a wonderful place to play. You are taken by boat to the course and treated like royality. Evert group that goes out must use a catty. They enjoyed the young man who helped them all to have a better game.
